Mrs. Chen is an LMSW and resident LCSW with a background in serving children, youth, and young adults, as well as coordinating between parents, schools, and physical and mental health providers.

She acquired her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Houston and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Sam Houston State University. She has a background in child welfare case management, eligibility assessment, and comprehensive support to children, adolescents, and older adults.

Previously, Mrs. Chen served as an Independent Living Specialist at DePaul Community Resources where she coached young adults in independent living skills and navigating educational resources. Before this, she served as a foster youth case manager and liaison between legal guardians, schools, guardians ad litem, and physical and mental health providers. Other experience includes counseling older adults through Medicare enrollment and public assistance eligibility as an Aging Services Coordinator at the Jefferson Area Board for Aging (JABA).

Mrs. Chen is dedicated to strengthening families through collaborative approaches and helping them navigate emotional and behavioral challenges across school, home, and the community.
